The active company prefix(es) and GTIN-8 Identifiers registered earlier at GS1 Hungary are already uploaded to Standard Manager. Before you allocate new identification number(s) with the help of Standard Manager, please enter all identifiers into the system that you are already using. Please note, that those items’ identifiers (GTINs) that are no longer in circulation also need to be entered but according to the GTIN allocation rules, that identifier cannot be used for a new item. For Standard Manager, this is the only way to ensure that an identifier is being allocated only once as the identification number is continuously being generated from the provided company prefix. The GTIN-8 identifiers are in ‘Draft’ status when being migrated from GS1 Hungary register into Standard Manager. These should be finalised in the system by the user.
If you are already using GS1 Key generating and registry client software, please note that no support is provided by GS1 Hungary after 30 June, 2019. You can migrate the already entered identifiers and data into Standard Manager by copying the database of the GS1 Hungary Key generating and registry client software and upload it on Standard Manager’s Helpdesk site (this page can be accessed after logging in). The colleagues at Standard Manager Helpdesk will provide you on this page with an uploadable file in the appropriate format. Please also note that afterwards you can no longer use GS1 Key generating and registry client software, please use Standard Manager to manage your identifiers and other data.
You can find the steps of finalising GTIN-8 identifiers and the data migration from registry client software on our website, also in the Help menu after logging into Standard Manager.
